I could have had John Smiths Extra Smooth, but I&#39;m not a fan of the smooth creamy head on my pint. It&#39;s shame that Cornwall seems to be one of those areas that puts the cream-flow spouts on their draught beer taps, like they do up North. A classic way to ruin a perfectly good pint if you ask me.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/justthesam.com\/wp-content\/tp\/6a00e5550e0158883401156eed1f07970c\" onclick=\"window.open( this.href, &#39;_blank&#39;, &#39;width=640,height=480,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0&#39; ); return false\" style=\"display: inline;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"JohnSmithsOriginal 6348\" class=\"at-xid-6a00e5550e0158883401156eed1f07970c \" src=\"http:\/\/justthesam.com\/wp-content\/tp\/6a00e5550e0158883401156eed1f07970c-400wi\" style=\"width: 400px; \" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">There&#39;s not much to say for this very straightforward bitter &#8211; it&#39;s got good colour and a decent enough flavour, but it&#39;s very one-dimensional with pretty much zero in the way of extra interesting tastes coming through other than the basic bitterness. A good cheap beer to keep in for light mid-week requirements, but I find <a href=\"\/atc\/2008\/11\/beer-review-greene-king-ipa-can.html\">Greene King IPA<\/a> fills that role better.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I bought a pack of these unpretentious cans on holiday in Cornwall, as there wasn&#39;t much choice in the small Co-op.
